Somedays you have to ask why!
Today was one of those days that you really wonder why you become a teacher. My kid that has given all the trouble this year decided he needed to stab someone this morning. He just came back from a two day suspension yesterday. He stabbed a little kindergarted kid in the back with a pencil just because he wanted to. At first the assistant principal who is useless by the way, said he was out for the year, then she wasn't going to do anything, but she finally got a clue and suspended him for three days. I want to quit teaching because of this kid. I almost walked out today when I found out that the pricipal was not going to ride him out on the rails. I know I sound so harsh but this kid is so dangerous. he brought a mini knife like thing to school during our state achievement test and the assistant principal didn't do anything to him because she didn't want to upset him during testing and first grade scores don't even count!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This child is sucking the life out of me. I just can't wait to get out of school for the year.

Hey, the time is getting closer! It won't be too much longer! I think as teachers, we all have years like that. Sometimes I have 3 years like that in a row b/c I have the same kids for three years. But then there are the many days that I know I am making a difference! You are too. Just try and focus on those moments when you are at the end of your rope.
where are you girl?
