My Brainiac
Last Thursday we drove straight from Nashville to our church carnival and out of nowhere Hannah's VBS teacher came up to me and started talking to me about how smart she was and the steps I needed to take before she started and once she started school in order to keep her challenged. I had really been praying about whether to send her to our zoned school or to take her to my school and with this conversation the answer to my prayer was given. Just like that out of nowhere. Anyway, Hannah goes Thursday for some skills testing and an IQ test and then next Tuesday she has her official Kindergarten screening. I am also compiling a folder of her work so that I can take it to the SPED Dept. and hopefully have some kind of IEP written in order for her to go to a first grade reading class if it shows that she is ready for that. She blows me away and just when I think I am just a proud Mama, people she is around search me out to tell me how smart she is and that she blows them away too. My little girl is AMAZING!
