The Strangest Things Happen To Me
Well, at the end of the last school year I put in for transfers to three different schools within my district and was turned down for all three. Yesterday a staff meeting was called and we were told that we needed three teachers to volunteer to go to other schools. Well, I talked to Joey and he said go for it. So, I went for it and it looks like I may possibly be changing schools now that the school year has started. I am scared to death and I am more scared about Hannah switching schools. She is coming with me but I don't know the teachers over there. I was told that there was one teacher that we needed to stay away from and I am terrified that Hannah will end up with her. I am looking into whether or not I can request a teacher for her. I am so scared because I don't know a soul over there and I want to do what is best for my child and I want her to be challenged and get the best education possible. I am excited about the possibility of getting out of CIAA but I am scared about the fact that the school year has already started, Hannah has met her teacher and loves her, I have met my kids, I guess it is the unknown. I guess it is like going out on stage and singing but now my baby girl is involved. Kodi, am I crazy or what?

no, you are not crazy. i would be scared too. but it's still early in the year. i would think it would be best to move now before serious friendships set in. also,this is what you have wanted. here's your lucky break! why didn't they figure out this "numbers" situation until after school started. seems to me that you would want to have any transfers taken care of before a school year starts.
Well, this place isn't normal by any stretch of the imagination. Since I know Hannah's teachers here and she has already bonded with them and one of my best friends is here with her we are going to leave her here. She has already started making friends and I don't want to up root her. She loves her teacher and I know she will get the best education this year. It will be hard not being with her though.
By the way, how is Trai?
trai is at work today, but i don't think he's a whole lot better. well, i hope this whole transition for both of you works out smoothly. when is this supposed to take place? it might be a good thing to leave her there simply b/c i've seen what it can do to kids to have their parents as teachers in their building. it wouldn't affect her now, but as she gets older...i find that kids really resent it.
Well, here we go again. Hannah's teacher at CIAA was moved to my position so I am taking her with me. This actually will work out better I think. We shall see. I hope Trai gets better.

Today is our last day. We start at Crestview tomorrow.
